Electrical energy is sold at so much per watt hour or more generally at a given amount per kilowatt hour - which means 1,000 watt hours. this may represent 1 watt for 1,000 hours or 1,000 watts for one hour. 746 watts are equal to one horsepower or inversely 1 kilowatt (kw) is equal to about 1-1/2 horsepower. The ohm is the unit of electrical resistance and represents the physical property of a conductor which offers a resistance to the flow of electricity, permitting just 1 ampere to flow at 1 volt of pressure.
