It's the only product in the HVAC/R Industry that provides performance comparable to hydrochloric acid but safer on metals, odorless, low-foaming, and is 100% biodegradable. Eco-Lyme will quickly and safely remove scale and/or corrosion deposits from copper, steel, iron, aluminum, brass, wood, rubber and plastic equipment. Care must be exercised with galvanized surfaces. Eco-Lyme is accompanied with pH strips to monitor product activity in the eld. It is not formulated with a dye system. NU-CALGON MICRO-CARBON 4 WATER FILTER The Micro-Carbon 4 utilizes a standard 12 x 40 mesh washed carbon, which is rated at a nominal 20 micron lter capability. It is designed to remove objectionable tastes and odors, such as those caused by chlorine, hydrogen sulde ("rotten egg"), iron, etc. One unit will typically last for 5-6 months. This product, when dissolved in water, slowly releases powerful oxidizing hypohalous acids which are highly effective in preventing algae and slime bacteria fouling in open recirculating cooling water systems. Bromicide Tablets also have the capability of breaking up and removing existing biological masses from system surfaces. Algae are microscopic plants that grow rapidly in open recirculating water systems. Stimulated by sunlight, warm water, and nutrients of airborne or process origin, algae can form thick, slimy accumulations. In recirculating cooling systems, these free-oating growths are carried to heat exchangers where they become lodged and act as binders for sludge and suspended matter. In addition, algae promote deposition of efciency-robbing bacterial slime because they provide the organic material necessary for bacterial growth. Typical consequences of unchecked algae and bacterial deposits include reduced heat transfer efciency, high head pressures, fouled equipment, and increased power and service costs. Proper treatment with Bromicide Tablets aids in maintaining design capacity of equipment by keeping it free of algae and slime growths.
