227 Installation Accessories MOUNTING ACCESSORIES Designed specically for the hurricane-prone regions of Florida and the Gulf Coast, The Hurricane Pad pad meets stringent local code requirements for wind resistance. Heavier than a normal concrete pad, this pad provides sufcient weight to meet code. These pads have been designed specically to meet the intent of the Florida Building Code, Chapter 16, with respect to wind resistance. Method of attachment tested per ASCE 7. The Hurricane Pads are suitable for all 130-mph and most 150-mph installations. For certain taller equipment, The Hurricane T-Class Pad is needed. The Hurricane Pad have been declared by the Florida Building Commission to be an acceptable alternative material to solid concrete slabs for use in specic applications from Tallahassee to Miami.
